Many CPD programs are staged in hotel rooms or other hired venues, which are geared towards hosting functions not hands-on workshops. The A/V in a hotel can sometimes be substandard with small projection screens or low-resolution projectors and all equipment and materials must be brought to the site which limits the extent of what can be setup for a hands-on workshop. Overall, this detracts from the learning experience.
The Australian Dental Centre of Excellence was purpose designed and built to create an optimum learning environment for Dental Continuing Education. We partnered with several leading dental companies to ensure the fitout included the highest quality equipment, instruments and materials.

The heart of a good learning program is the lecture component. Our Lecture Theatre seats up to 50 attendees, in comfortable high-backed chairs, all with an excellent view of the large projection screen and high definition picture.
The Practical Training Room has 36 spacious workstations, each with their own high and slow speed handpieces and triplex air-syringe. Each Station has a high definition monitor to allow attendees to clearly see the demonstrated procedures, or to view the Lecturer’s slides or learning notes.

The Presenter’s workstation has a mounted macro video camera to capture the demonstrated procedures with great clarity and in high magnification. The presenter can also connect their laptop and show the attendees their slides and teaching notes as well as the actual practical demonstration.
Two fully equipped dental operatories allow for courses that involve live patient treatment. The rooms are fitted with premium A-dec and Kavo chairs and equipment, and there is Hu-Freidy instrumentation and a surgical motor kit to allow for implant and restorative procedures. Both operatories have digital intra-oral radiograph facilities and there is OPG / CBCT / Lateral Ceph support as well. There are onsite sterilization facilities for both operatories, and any procedures performed can be beamed back into the Lecture Room or recorded.

The Australian Dental Centre of Excellence has an excellent breakout room to allow course attendees to relax and mingle with colleagues during tea breaks and lunch times. There is an onsite kitchen to facilitate catering for smaller groups or evening workshops, or to allow for external catering to be brought in for larger group courses. Facilities include 2 ovens and microwave, refridgerator, Soda water dispenser and automatic Nespresso coffee.
